Hat confirms that Convoke was pretty nutty when he played with it in the preview streams. Unlike Rune of the Archmage, you can safely play Convoke with zero board - it will likely build you a board and draw cards. Convoke the Spirits will likely be run in any ramping Druid deck. ZachO believes DH has one of the better sets in providing a deckbuilding direction, but the archetypes are definitely not complete prebuilds.ĭruid - Windowbloom Seedman is one of the best cards of the set, and your ramp is even more consistent now between Seedman, Jerry Rig, Wild Growth, Nourish, and Guff. ZachO says there's two directions with the relic package - either slot it into the existing Fel DH package, or build around a deathrattle package. Relic of Dimensions is probably the strongest relic, but the other ones ones can help build a bit of a board and clear your opponents.

The rest of DH's cards are pushing the 9 card relic package, which both Hat and ZachO agree is a complimentary set of cards to put in an archetype and not a full on build around mechanic. Dispose of Evidence means you'll now be able to activate both Vanguard and Fossil on curve. Vanguard and Fossil Fanatic might be too slow for the deck, although Hat thinks Fossil will still be good because it draws you damage. ZachO likens the deck to Aggro Drek'Thar DH from Sunken City in how low the mana curve will be. Kryxis the Voracious fits into the archetype too (who doesn't love a 4 mana 7/7?) The archetype does run into the issue of wanting to run multiple weapons, making Magnifying Glaive somewhat awkward since you can't fully unload your hand if you have multiple weapons in it. Bibliomite is a stronger Totem Golem, and while its drawback is normally bad, it's offset by Magnifying Glaive. Magnifying Glaive is arguably a better Voracious Reader. ZachO points out that they're on a long streak of having at least 1 deck in their theory crafting article that gets nerfed, and they don't expect that streak to stop.ĭemon Hunter - The "emptying your own hand" set of cards looks like the new build of aggro DH that will be pushed.

The comprehensive card preview article should be up this Saturday (July 30th), while the 30 deck theory crafting article should be up a day or two before the new expansion. ZachO did some preliminary theorycrafting in deck building, while Hat actually got to play with the new cards during the preview streams. General - Everything this week is centered around class discussion for the new expansion. No more VS reports until Castle Nathria launches, and I would also guess the next podcast would be on the first weekend of Castle Nathria (August 6th - 7th range). Listen to the most recent Vicious Syndicate podcast here - Īs always, glad to do these summaries, but a summary won't be able to cover everything and can miss nuances, so I highly recommend listening to their podcast as well.
